Doom series Doom is the shooter that introduced many gamers to the genre. The gameplay was all about unloading huge weapons into hordes of Hellspawn. The series kept ramping up the enemy count until they dialed it way back in the much slower paced Doom 3. But it looks like Doom 4 will bring back the old school fast paced shooting we love.
